Shannon and Coco’s Journey

In her youth, Shannon possessed an intense passion for dance. Countless hours were spent in her room, swaying to her beloved melodies, even though she had never ventured into Irish dancing herself. She fondly reminisces about the thrill of witnessing spectacular performances like Riverdance on TV and being spellbound by the talents of artists like Natalie MacMaster when they graced her town.

As adulthood ushered in its own array of responsibilities and demands, Shannon reluctantly shelved her dancing dreams. Work and other commitments left her with scant time for personal pursuits. However, a turning point arrived when her daughter, Coco, wholeheartedly embraced the world of Irish dancing.

Coco’s dedication and fervour for the art ignited a deep sense of pride and inspiration in Shannon. It became clear to her that she wanted to support her daughter’s journey, so she embarked on a quest to find suitable Irish dance attire. However, her search revealed a frustrating dilemma. Most options were either too plain or excessively adorned with embellishments. Shannon yearned for something that would not only ignite Coco’s passion for dance but also allow her to proudly showcase it at school.

It was then that Shannon’s brainchild took form – the idea of creating their own Irish dance spirit wear clothing company.

She joined forces with Coco, and together, they embarked on a creative voyage to design clothing that would radiate fun and inspiration. Their shared objective was to craft attire that could spark excitement and passion in fellow dancers.

Out of this shared vision, FeistyFitzy was born.

When an Irish girl dances her 1st feis

It is a cause for celebration. She usually wears a colorful full-length dress with ribbons and hairbows to match. Shoes are often white or black patent leather.

The steps of the dances are complex and intricate, requiring concentration as well as skillful footwork. For several hours, she gracefully twirls around the floor in time to the music, and perhaps even wins a prize or trophy for her performance.
