Ireland to fully re-open from July 19

Taoiseach Micheál Martin and his ministers signed off on a plan which see the return of non-essential travel in July.

Summary

  • Foreign travel for holidays to be allowed from July 19 – and everything else you need to know
  • Indoor dining in pubs, restaurants and cafes from July 5
  • Hotels to reopen from June 2, Nphet recommends
  • Cinemas allowed to open from June
  • Limited spectators at outdoor concerts and matches from August 2
  • 500 allowed at smaller venues, with limit of 5,000 or 25pc capacity in larger stadia such as Croke Park

The Government announced that they will introduce the EU’s Digital Green Certificate scheme   and people who are fully vaccinated will be free to travel abroad without producing a negative Covid-19 test on their return. These travellers would also avoid quarantine.

Meanwhile the pubs are getting ready to reopen.

Hi, does this mean people from Scotland will be allowed to travel to the Republic if they can supply a certificate showing they have received their two vaccination jabs? And there will be no quarantine etc required?
