Is it free?
Mostly, yes. Street performances, pub sessions and most of the outdoor programme cost nothing — no booking required. The free Gig Rig at Belfast City Hall runs music throughout the festival. A number of ticketed concerts and competitions take place at Waterfront Hall, Ulster Hall and ICC Belfast, and some competition sessions require a free wristband available at the venue, so it’s worth checking the official Fleadh Cheoil programme before you travel.
Where to go

Four Park and Ride sites — at Eikon Exhibition Centre, Sprucefield, Giant’s Park and Belfast Harbour Estate — run free shuttle buses into the city centre for a flat £10 a day of parking, and Translink is adding bus specials to Belfast from towns including Derry~Londonderry, Armagh and Omagh.
