One of Cork’s newest cocktail spots is officially Irish Bar of the Year for 2023

The latest venture by Cask co-owner and mixology marvel, Cork’s own Andy Ferreira, the Latin American-inspired cocktail bar and kitchen is managed by Oisín Wolfe, who curates a rotating menu of classic and signature cocktails based around rum, cachaça, agave, and pisco.

The venue already made waves after just six months in business when it was listed as one of the 2023 Spirited Awards Regional Top 10 Best New Cocktail Bars in Europe.

While a Cork location was crowned Bar of the Year, Dublin spots cleaned up at the 2023 award ceremony.

Last night (Monday, 21 August) the Clayton Hotel on Burlington Road hosted the Bar of the Year 2023 awards ceremony that celebrates the very best bars all over the country.

And while a Dublin bar did not take home the top Bar of the Year Award for 2023 as it did last year with Bar 1661 (that honour this year went to newcomer Paladar, which is based in Cork), nevertheless there were a lot of fine establishments in the capital winning gold, silver and bronze in other categories.

In fact, some Dublin bars took home multiple awards in different categories.

Officers from the Garda Air Support Unit, the Garda Mounted Unit, the Garda Dog Unit and Road Policing Units will also be deployed

Dublin’s Kilmainham Gaol has been listed among the top “hidden gem” museums in Europe.

The historic building, where seven signatories of the 1916 proclamation spent their last moments, made the list alongside the likes of the Churchill War Rooms in London and The Royal Yacht Britannia in Edinburgh.

Twin Baby Irish Dance ( How cute is this?)

A video of two adorable twin babies performing an Irish dance has recently gone viral on the internet.

The video was posted by their mother and shows the twins dressed in colorful traditional outfits as they energetically twirl, kick and spin to traditional Irish jigs and reels. It is clear that both babies are enjoying themselves immensely as they dance around, much to the delight of their parents and viewers.
