What is the Irish broom dance?
The Irish broom dance is an old traditional Irish Sean Nós dance that has been danced for over a hundred years. It involves leaping over a broom and performing various rhythmic steps to traditional Irish music, typically with accompaniment from instruments like harps and fiddles.
This style of dancing is usually more informal than other forms of dancing, and is often performed at gatherings or festivals. It is also used in competitive dance competitions to showcase the skill and agility of the dancers.
