Every April, one corner of Ireland transforms into a food lover’s paradise. The Waterford Festival of Food returns for its 17th year from 23–26 April 2026, turning Dungarvan and the wider Waterford region into one of the most delicious places on the island.
With more than 150 events spread across Dungarvan and, for the first time, a range of new venues in Waterford City, this is Ireland’s longest-running food festival — and it just keeps getting better.
What to Expect at the Waterford Festival of Food 2026
The festival brings together chefs, artisan producers, growers, and food enthusiasts for a vibrant weekend of dining experiences, guided tastings, markets, workshops, food trails, and family events. Whether you’re a seasoned foodie or simply love good company and great flavours, there’s something here for everyone.
The weekend kicks off on Thursday with the Dungarvan Farmers Market, followed by the traditional Country Market on Friday and the Quayside Saturday market, before everything comes together for the showcase Festival Market on Sunday.
