Yes, you can freeze this dish. Wrap it well in cling film and foil before freezing. Thaw overnight in the fridge and reheat thoroughly before serving. Note that the texture may change slightly after freezing.

Why Is My Carbonara Pie Dry?

If your pie turns out dry, it may be due to overcooking or too much heat causing the eggs to scramble rather than create a creamy sauce. Be sure to mix the egg mixture quickly with the hot pasta off the heat and bake just until set to keep it moist and silky.

For those who love traditional Irish food, this pasta pie is a delightful addition to your repertoire alongside classic dishes like the traditional Irish stew recipe or the comforting Dublin Coddle recipe. It’s also worth exploring the rich world of traditional Irish cooking to complement your meals.

For baking enthusiasts, why not try your hand at some Irish Soda Scones or Homemade Irish Soda Bread with Raisins? These classic breads pair wonderfully with many dishes and are a staple in Irish kitchens.
