More About Powerscourt House & Gardens
Powerscourt House & Gardens is located in County Wicklow, Ireland. The estate was the home of the Viscounts Powerscourt from the 13th century until 1973. It encompasses a beautiful Palladian-style mansion and 47 acres of gardens.
The grounds feature design elements dating back to 1731, when Richard Cassels redesigned the gardens. Visitors can stroll through rose gardens, a Japanese-style garden, terrace gardens, a walled garden and an Italianate garden. One of the highlights is a Pet Cemetery which memorializes pets of past Powerscourt family members with their names inscribed on headstones.
