A heartwarming memory from four years ago resurfaced on George Murphy’s phone, reminding him of a special day when his four-year-old daughter, Lily, stole the show with him. As a proud father, George often finds himself reminiscing about precious moments with his little princess.
It was a regular day when George was dropping off his father, George Sr., to one of his gigs. Lily, always eager to showcase her singing skills, asked her dad if she could join him on stage. “Dad, can I go in and sing a song with Grandad?” she pleaded, her eyes filled with excitement. Unable to resist her enthusiasm, George agreed.
Curious to know which song Lily had in mind, George asked his daughter, “What would you sing, sweetheart?”
Lily, with a mischievous grin, replied, “Whiskey in the Jar!”
George, a musician himself, replied, “Only the rock ‘n’ roll Lizzy version.”
Lily, without missing a beat, exclaimed, “Yeah, I know the rock ‘n’ roll one!”
George challenged his daughter, “Alright, prove it!”
