What happens at the Guinness Storehouse?

The Storehouse is a large building covering seven floors surrounding a glass atrium shaped in the form of a pint of Guinness. This is a sight to behold for the visitor. The four ingredients (water, barley, hops and yeast). You will also be introduced to  the brewery’s founder, Arthur Guinness. Your journey starts right here at the bottom of the world’s largest pint glass, which rises through the building right up to the seventh floor telling a dramatic story that begins over 250 years ago and ends in Gravity Bar. This is Dublin’s highest bar and at the end of the tour  you will receive a complimentary pint of GUINNESS. What a way to end the number one attraction in Ireland.

How long does it take to do the Guinness Storehouse?

You should allow at least 90 minutes to complete the tour and why not linger at the bar a little longer? You never know when an interesting conversation starts.

Why do people visit the Guinness Storehouse?

The Guinness Storehouse is a great introduction to Ireland, its culture and history. The  story of Guinness also tells a lot of the story of Ireland. You can also enjoy a great meal, taste Ireland’s most popular export  while enjoying 360-degree views of Dublin from our Gravity Bar. All things taken in account, there is just no better way to start a trip to Ireland.

How big is the Guinness Storehouse?

The Guinness Storehouse is over 7 floors and the building is 125 feet high, 170 feet long and 151 feet wide.

What country drinks the most Guinness?

The United Kingdom is the undisputed king of Guinness consumption which is not surprising given the large population and the close proximity to the brewery. It is reported that one out of every 10 pints sold in London is Guinness.

Ireland is second on the list and the biggest surprise might be that they are not number one – The

a fact sheet supplied by the Guinness Storehouse gives the details.

Nigeria is third on the list and few people will know that Guinness has been sold there since 1827.Guinness Nigeria was founded in 1962 with the construction of a brewery in the heart of Lagos, the Nigerian capital.

Americans also love the black stuff coming in at a solid number 4 and Guinness remains a firm favourite in Irish pubs across the states.
