How to get to Benbulben

From Sligo Town, take the N15 northwest towards Bundoran until you reach a roundabout with a sign for Benbulben. Turn right onto Knocknarea Rd/R285 and follow it about 11 km up to the mountain car park. You can also access Benbulben from nearby Dromahair; take the R280 south and follow it to the car park.
Once you’ve reached the mountain car park, there are a few different trails that branch off in various directions. It is recommended to start with the Benbulben Trail, which takes you up one side of the mountain before looping around and coming back down on the other side. This is a moderate-level hike and takes around two hours to complete.
