Where is O’Brien’s Tower?
O’Brien’s Tower is at Burren Way, Lislorkan North, Co. Clare, Ireland and is the highest point on the Cliffs of Moher. It is close to the villages of Doolin and Liscannor.
Standing alone on a high cliff, O’Brien’s Tower is an impressive structure and is the best lookout point for some of the best views over Ireland.
Landlord and Member of Parliament Sir Cornellius O’Brien built the tower in 1835 for the purpose to attract more tourists to the Cliffs of Moher. The tower serves as a teahouse and an observation tower for English tourists who frequented the Cliffs of Moher at the time. There is however another story and that is that O’Brien built the tower in order to impress women he was courting. Which ever is the truth, O’Brien’s Tower is impressive and definitely worth a visit
Things to see from the Tower

If you look north you should be able to see the Twelve Bens in Connemara (also known as the Twelve Pins) beyond Galway Bay. You should also be able to spot the Aran Islands to the west.
